OK I honestly HAVE to share some of the emails and tidbits of conversation around the vote tallying AND the vdieo judging for Top Affiliate Challenge. The numbers haven’t moved in days despite that I KNOW people are voting, and my peeps are restless. So here’s what “yous guys” in the blogosphere and over the phone are saying…

(Yes I do have people I talk to live in person behind me too - not just online!)

People wonder if there’s something hinky going on because of it. I’m not saying there IS - but certainly people are being given cause to wonder…

I’m getting a lot of frustration from my regular voters…of course I’m feeling a fair bit of frustration myself too!

It’s a little hard to keep people motivated to vote daily when the numbers never change, which they haven’t for DAYS now. My people are getting really frustrated. Here are a few snippets of conversation…

Paul: “I used to say Top Affiliate Challenge was the one place your vote counted, but now I’m not so sure. The numbers haven’t budged in days! What’s up with that?”

Me: “No clue. It’s statistically impossible for them all to remain the same for days.”

Rachael: “There must be at least 20 people from the Rad voting for you every day and for Molly too, and nothing changes. It’s so frustrating. Makes me feel like there’s voting fraud from the judge’s side!”

Me: “I appreciate all of you for voting. Please be sure to get my gifts and surprises at http://RondaIsA10.com.”

Steph: “I can’t believe that boring guy got an 8 for his video and yours are only getting a 6. You’ve got 10 times more charm and pizzazz than that guy.”

Me: “Well, Thor seems to have this thing for poop but even my fudge video didn’t get more than anything else I’ve done. I used to say that you have to eat something out of a toilet to get an 8, but then…well…that very nice-seeming guy with the bla-bla-bla talking head video got an 8 and he didn’t do anything weird or inventive or pizzazzy, so who knows???”

Jean: “I don’t get this whole voting thing. The numbers aren’t moving and it feels like a scam.”

Me: “I don’t know what’s going on either, but I do know they hand check all the votes. And anything that involves judging you can’t expect to be truly fair.

There’s always someone’s opinion to deal with.”

(Fellow contestant): I can’t believe how these base scores are chosen. They’re even going against what’s in the strategy guide, because supposedly you’re supposed to get a HIGHER score for being inventive and entertaining. Both our last videos should have gotten a 7 or 8 for sure!”

Agreed. But…no finish line, no true objectivity. We can have piles of votes, but if the judges are not rewarding creativity, message & entertainment we’re going to have a harder time of it.

Not to mention that I know full well some contestants are voting me down big time whether I wouldtruly be a worthy candidate or not.
