I have a fun story for you today.

My dreams tend to be vivid and sometimes long. Last night I dreamed that Molly and I made it to Thor Schrock’s Top Affiliate Challenge. It wasn’t clear in the dream if people had voted for her or for me, but I’m the one at the keyboard, so it’s all the same, really. This is what happened in my dream.

We arrived very late because of airline delays (gee where could I have gotten that idea, hahaha!), but a couple of other contestants were late as well. It was interesting to be in a roomful of contestants, media, and show people. Some faces I recognized and some were new. People can be just like dogs in some ways. We sniff each other out, metaphorically speaking, to find out if there’s working chemistry, if we like someone, what we think of them, etc. And naturally there was a lot of that going on.

Some people were completely against the fact that a dog auditioned and got votes. Others were all for it. Naturally, my guide dog Molly got TONS of attention. Here’s a picture of her.

She’s very friendly and everybody loves her. Sure, a few are afraid or aloof, but all in all, she gets WAY more attention than I do. In my audition I said that if she got more votes than me I’d be so bummed - but really it’s no surprise. She wags and has the most soulful eyes. Plus she takes care of people when they need a lift too.

Anyway, one moment from my dream had to do with lunch. we were sitting next to Alisande Chan (she was the one from Next Internet Millionaire who LOVED playing poker), and Molly was being ever-so-good but ever-so-hopeful. She stared from her spot on the floor up at Alisande’s sandwich. We all had a good laugh at how Molly was using her border collie ancestry to its best advantage in staring Alisande down.
