[Top Affiliate Challenge] What’s Your Work Ethic?
July 13th, 2008 · Filed Under: Success Toolbox · Top Affiliate Challenge
What’s your work ethic? Do you goof off every chance you get, or do you throw yourself into what needs to happen?
Do you think that working hard means you never play or have fun?
During Top Affiliate Challenge, it has been interesting to watch how various people work. Some are goofballs who sometimes put in some effort. Some put in unproductive effort and seem never to have any fun or joy. Some of us work hard and play hard.
Jeremy “Shoemoney” Shoemaker said when he reviewed the top 10 videos before the Top Affiliate Challenge competition that he wanted people on his team with a work ethic, because anything else was all learnable skills. I agree with him wholeheartedly. Unfortunately I didn’t have much of a chance to work with him because of his baby coming early. Perhaps sometime I will have that opportunity.
I think that working hard is a good thing. My parents raised me to work hard, and I am grateful for this. But realize one thing. Working hard does not necessarily mean you’ll get to the top. Sometimes a person who spends much more time playing than working will succeed … for a while.
Never trade fun for money, but never think that success comes without work! It may be hard work or it may sometimes be fun work - but it is work nonetheless!
