When I was in grade school there was this brat named Jonus who always ruined it for the class with his behavior.  We lost out on several field trips and other special adentures because Jonus was such a jerk.  He never got kicked out of school and didn’t seem to get any severe punishment.  It was the rest of the class who had to suffer for his actions.

It really pains me that as an adult, someone who is a contestant on Top Affiliate Challenge - or maybe, MAYBE one of their friends of dubious distinction - has already tried to defraud the voting system.

Unbelievable.

I didn’t even know it was possible to mechanically issue a vote.  Shows you what I know.  This individual did not get kicked out of the show, although their audition video now has a low base score (which means if they have a lot of friends or if people buy them super votes, whomever makes the show could STILL have to deal with them).

This is what robo-voting is, as posted on the TAC blog:

“Robo-voting is using a piece of software to cast large volumes of votes through our website on behalf of an audition video.”

This individual voted 649 times in 10 minutes using the bot.

I hope nobody reading this post would ever try something like this on anybody’s behalf.  if you would like to vote for me once a day, I am most grateful, especially if you vote me a 10.  You can vote for me here.

You may vote for my guide dog Miss Molly FlagTail ehre.

And please audition!

Now let me know what you think.

I really want to encourage you to comment on this or any post, so here are some questions.  Please pick one to answer or just give me your feedback.

Should Thor Schrock have eliminated this contestant?  Should this person still be allowed?  What action would you have taken?
