[Increase Your IMPACT Factor] Author Camille Marchetta’s InnerSpace Interview Makes Front Page of RedRoom

Innerspace Author Interview LogoIt’s wonderful when something you do gets posted to another site in a prominent way.

Camille Marchetta was one of my guests for the InnerSpace Live Author Interviews.  Visit her homepage here.

Her InnerSpace LIVE Author Interview is currently on the front page of RedRoom.com

This is the link directly to her page that includes the interview on Redroom.com, which I include because I’m sure the front page will change at some point.

Camille Marchetta is making the most of her interviews.  She’s not just doing them once and letting them just “sit there” collecting virtual dust.  She’s letting people know about them.

Authors - What about you?

The best thing you as an author can do is just what Camille did.  Make the most of every interview situation.  You are able to download the interview right from BlogTalkRadio when I or anybody invites you onto the show, then you get as much mileage as possible.

Why not write a press release before your interview?

How about sharing the audio in all your online forums and communities?

How about sharing it in your profiles everywhere?

How about blogging about your interview?

How about shouting out to your Digg friends and Facebook friends, etc.?

In other words, never just do something once and forget about it.  Get the most mileage possible!  That is the ultimate sustainability strategy.

Congratulations, Camille!

You can phone in or listen through your computer and participate in the chat.

This is the direct link to listen to the call, give the show a 5-star rating if you love it, and leave a comment.

And you can listen anytime and even download the call. Tonight’s interview promises to be loaded and even controversial to Law of Attraction fans.

OH - her book is Money and Manifestin.

This was a fantastic call that will demonstrate to you how to breathe for focus, how to align with your purpose, and teh missing steps between thought and manifestation in The Secret Movie that Dyan Garris teaches you in Money and Manifesting.

InnerSpace Author Interviews: Meet Aram Schefrin, author of Marwan: The Autobiography of a 9/11 Terrorist

Innerspace Author Interview LogoThis is The Story Lady, Ronda Del Boccio, with an other InnerSpace Author Interview. These interviews allow you to meet the author behind the book. Today’s guest is taking a virtual book tour.

Meet Aram Schefrin, author of Marwan: The Autobiography of a 9/11 Terrorist

Blurb/summary of book An Egyptian city planner, a timid Saudi pilot, a boy from the United Arab Emirates who worshipped sex, not Allah, and a young Lebanese student who had gone to a Christian school: How did these very different men with very different ideas come to fly the 9/11 planes? How did the plot develop, and who developed it?

Do you set writing goals and write them down?

I know what I want the book to accomplish. I don’t write it down. Once I start writing, I may make notes to remind of things I have to do.

Do you set goals for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life with specific action steps and deadlines?

No.

What aspects of your own life are woven into your book?

Not much in this book, other than my keen interest in a particular approach to knowledge. Of course, when I am developing a character, where it is consistent I may include my own thoughts and feelings.

How do you spark your creativity?

Reading and thinking give me ideas for books. Somehow I just know when I’m going to have a particularly good day writing.

How do you relax?

I’m always doing something. It’s when I’m not that I get tense.

What do you enjoy doing with friends?

Talking about things other than ourselves.

What quality do you most desire to develop in yourself as a person?

Patience.

What themes and/or issues predominate in your work?

I like to humanize people who have been demonized. I think what makes a writer is the ability to see beyond black and white.

What is better about your life now than it was 5 years ago?

Nothing. I was very happy then and I’m very happy now.

What was the most important lesson you learned about yourself as a person during the writing of your book?

How ecstatic I get when the creative juices are flowing.

10 Ways to Publicize Your Blog Talk Radio Show

I have a show on Blog Talk Radio called InnerSpace LIVE! Author Interviews.  I am also one of the Fab 5 on the Today’s Guest show on BTR.   Naturally, that means I want to get exposure for the show.

So how do you get exposure for your Blog Talk Radio show?

10 Ways to Publicize Your Blog Talk Radio Show

  1. Give your show a keyword rich title that the search engines will love.  InnerSpace LIVE! Author Interviews has the key phrase “author interviews.”  Likewise be sure each individual show title is descriptive with key words for the search engines.  Same goes for the show description.  Today’s show is called “InnerSpace: Meet Dyan Garris, Voice of the Angels,” which gives the author’s name as well as her body of work (also this is her website name at VoiceOfTheAngels.com), and of course InnerSpace will become associated with me as it gains a reputation.
  2.  If you already have a show, you may have already seen something under “My Account” called “Promote.”  How lovely that Blog Talk Radio gives you some tools!  Thing is that most people will gloss over this and not pay attention.  I’ll focus on some of the ideas from the Promotion information in another post.  If you ahve a guest, be sure to remind the guest to blog about the show and inform his/her network of contacts.  Use the tools that are there for you to use!
  3. Tell your distribution list/membership list about your Blog Talk Radio show.  If you have guests, be sure to remind your guest to publicize the show to his/her list.
  4.  Blog about your show, being sure to use the name of your show and Blog Talk Radio in the post and your show name in the title.
  5. When your guest or anyone blogs about your show, go give them a Dig or add them to Delicious or other social bookmarking sites.  This gives you more footprints on Google (and the other search engines of course).
  6.  Remember that BTR is a COMMUNITY.  Go check out some shows in your niche.  Make some friend requests.  I’m just starting to do this now since InnerSpace LIVE Author Interviews is new.  I did a search for “author interview” and “author” and made a bunch of friend requests.  I will let you know how this helps my traction and ratings as we go along.  You get to be a fly on the wall, and I’ll share everything I learn with you, OK?
  7. Give favorable comments to great shows.  Don’t we all love an encouraging word?  This also shows you’re not just there to promote yourself.  Again, InnerSpace LIVE Author Interviews is new and so you can watch the list of friends grow and learn with me how to optimize exposure and get attention for the show.
  8.  Tell key people in your niche or topic area about your show and invite them to be guests.  Any author has the opportunity to apply to be on InnerSpace Live Author Interviews.  You can get an application here.  If I don’t know you, I’ll probably give you a call to pre-qualify you.  naturally, I want you to shine.  I’m letting authors know about the show in the various networks and author groups of which I am a part.  (That includes the InnerSpace Author Interviews on this blog as well, naturally!)  Examples include Ning networks, forums and communities where people in your niche “hang out.”
  9.  Ask your friends/subscribers/contacts to give your show a positive comment and 5 star rating.  Today I interviewed Dyan Garris, Voice of the Angels.  When you listen to her interview by clicking on the show title, you’ll see a comment box and a star rating system.  Since you’re there anyway, why not leave a comment?  I’ll do the same for you if you have a show.  Reciprocity is a wonderful thing.
  10. Add the Blog Talk Radio show button on your blog and/or website.  You’ll see mine in the upper left corner of this blog.  It lets people know that you have a show.

Let me know what YOU discover as you publicize your Blog Talk Radio show, and be sure to listen to the amazing authors I’ll be interviewing on InnerSpace LIVE Author Interviews.

[Innerspace] InnerSpace: Meet author Anita Hackley-Lambert

I am pleased to introduce to you the inner world of another Anita.  This time it is Anita Hackley-Lambert, author of F. H. M. Murray:  First Biography of a forgotten Pioneer for Civil Justice.  Anita is taking a Virtual Book Tour this month, and it is my pleasure to host her here.

F. H. M. Murray Cover

Innerspace Author Interviews delves deep within the author’s inner life to reveal the influences behind the book.  Welcome, Anita!

 F. H. M. Murray Cover

Blurb/summary of book

F.H.M. Murray: First Biography of a Forgotten Pioneer for Civil Justice, is the first and only book to highlight Murray’s numerous contributions to American history, like his personal and close relationship with W.E.B. Du Bois, William Monroe Trotter, Booker T. Washington, and other social reformers. It also shed new insight to the segregated life of African Americans in the District of Columbia and Alexandria, Virginia. Murray’s legacy is a fascinating one that proves how much one persona can accomplish in a lifetime, if they are devoted to a cause and a purpose.

Do you set writing goals and write them down?

Yes and no. Sometimes I set goals and write them down. However, I believe my best writing comes from divine inspiration.

Do you set goals for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life with specific action steps and deadlines?

Definitely. I own several business enterprises, a writers group, a publishing company, and editing company, a web design company, and a newspaper that is coming out in a few monthsplus I am an Evangelist. So, I have a daily regiment that includes 2-3 hours early morning devotional, take my vitamins and herbal supplements, have breakfast (most of the time) before plunging into my work schedule. I break for more devotions, reflecting, and a light snack.

Oh, and I drink plenty of bottled water, about 4-8 bottles daily.

Sometimes I only stop working to go to evening church or not until late night or early the next morning. However, I do make it a point to get at least four hours of sleep, when I can. When I can not sleep, I get up and return to work.

Thank God I have a marvelous husband who takes care of me and picks up the slack on my chores when I am pushing to meet a deadline. He is my greatest joy and my biggest fan.

What aspects of your own life are woven into your book?

My personal supernatural encounter with Grandpa Murray. I had to add that to the Introduction. Also, needed to add areas relating to me as a child and the family mysteries that are only revealed in the book.

How do you spark your creativity?

I don’t. God does. He speaks to me in night visions and wakes me up. I grab my writing tablet, still half asleep, and write in the dark. I recall when I woke up one morning, I had written 11 pages of inspiration.

Of course, my current work was inspired by a friend who believes that God told her to get me to write the story about her son. I had to believe her because she kept his birth a secret for 65 years and when she revealed it to me, I found out I had a cousin who walked in the shadows of F.H.M. Murray, the great grandfather he never knew. This was so exciting!

How do you relax?

I can only relax during devotional time, when I read and study the Bible. In fact, the Bible is my favorite book of all time. It contains history that is written in the most beautiful language imagined. I love how it contians stories within stories and lessons within lessons. WOW!

What do you enjoy doing with friends?

Coming together to work on new projects and new enterprises.

What quality do you most desire to develop in yourself as a person?

To become the best person I can so that I can give what I have learned back to another, to inspire and motivate them to fulfill their dreams. My motto is “you can become as BIG as you can dream.”

The interesting thing about my motto is how it relates to what Grandpa Murray said, “Never give up. Never give in. Never stop until you win, win, win.”

What themes and/or issues predominate in your work?

Right now it is how our ancestors overcame racial injustice during a time when many of their race was being hanged because of the color of their skin. For example, Grandpa Murray developed an “enlarged vision model” that enabled him or anyone who applied it to build lucrative empires and live among the elite. The greatest issue of the book demonstrates how humankind imposes or accepts restrictions on him or herself. If the restrictions are disposed of, the individual can sore to deeper depths and higher heights.

What is better about your life now than it was 5 years ago?

I gave up my successful 15 year old IT company to pursue my dream to write and get published. Not only have I realized my dream but I am now able to fulfill other desires of my heart.

What was the most important lesson you learned about yourself as a person during the writing of your book?

No matter how long it takes, never give up on yourself or your dreams. As long as you keep focused on what is in your heart, opportunities beyond your wildest imagination will open to you. I have emerged wiser, stronger, and more determined to live my life to the fullest by serving God, giving back to my community, and helping others.

Thank you, Anita!
