Viral Storytelling with The Story Lady, Ronda Del Boccio

I’ve been doing some research on sequoia trees lately and I just discoverd something really amazing.  Take notes, because it is a huge principle of storytelling.

OK, here it comes…The tallest trees have a low germination rate.

And you’re thinking, “What?  That’s it?  Who cares!”

This is why I’m always coaching you to be contextual.  Here is the context.

The greatest, mightiest trees - the Oprah Winfreys and Leonardo DaVinci’s among our world’s flora - have tiny little seeds.  Inside those tiny little seeds is huge potential…

but

Most of the tiny little seeds they produce will not take root and grow into their destined greatness.

Most of those tiny little seeds with big huge potential will be swept away, killed in tough weather conditions, or maybe even swallowed by another creature for food.

So what about you?

You have a seed of greatness within you too.  We all do.  So what are you doing with your seed?

Are you learning from the sequoias in your life and in your industry?  Are you acting like the person you will ultimately become RIGHT NOW?

Or are you being blown about in the winds of the next new trend? 

Are you living into the life you want right now with confidence… 

Or are you being crushed by the false evidence that you are small and insignificant?

Nelson Mandala said, “Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.”

What if you gave yourself permission to be who you truly are?

What if you gave yourself permission to shine, not out of false ego or boasting, but out of a sure and certain knowledge that the only reason you are put on this planet is to be great?

“And as we let our own light shine, we nconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Will you let your seed of greatness germinate?
