I don’t know why he did it…but Mike Filsame didn’t even say hello…he zoomed out of the room the second I entered.

Did I come on too strong? I doubt it, because all I said was “hello.”

I wasn’t being nasty, so it couldn’t be that…

I showered today and brushed my teeth, so it wasn’t BO…

OK I’ll fess up. I could mention that this happened over a conference line, not face to face.

See, Ken McArthur was in Mike Filsame’s office because Mike’s helping him with some video for his home study kit for The Impact Factor.

So I know he wasn’t being intentionally aloof. He was letting Ken get on with the business of being mentored by Glenn Dietzel of Awaken The Author Within and myself. Live business development mentoring is helping Ken create the business around his book, and he has BIG plans.

Now that Ken McArthur has finished his book Impact,and it is hanging out at the publisher getting ready for a May launch, he is hard at work putting together an assessment tool, a home study kit, and his coaching program.

One of the things we discussed on the call today is how the successful people in business online are those who know that you can’t work alone. Ken McArthur is working with people like Mike Filsame, Brendon Burchard, and Glenn Dietzel to take his business to the next level.

If you think it’s just you and your computer, you’re going to shoot yourself in the foot, metaphorically speaking.

I love working virtually, because even a blind person is on more or less equal ground in this kind of work. I have a few adaptations that most people don’t, but people don’t tend to pre-decide that I can’t do something, because I’m already doing it by the time they know I’m legally blind.

Working virtually as I do, there are a lot of people I work with but have never met. I just met people like Ken McArthur, even though i’ve been coaching him for a few months now, at a live event, JV Alert Live. I also met Brendon Burchard, Dave Lakhani, Christine Comaford-Lynch, Thor Schrock, Alisande Chan, Jaime Luchuck, and others whom I have heard of for quite a while.

Thor, Alisande and Jaime were contestants on the Next Internet Millionaire last summer. I auditioned for Thor’s new reality show, Top Affiliate challenge…

See how I’m drawing out the connections for you? Nobody’s alone. All this happens because I keep showing up and not giving up!

One day I’ll meet Mike Filsame and we can have a laugh about how I made him flee his own office!
