Pressure!  Ken McArthur’s clock is rapidly counting down.   Dark clouds skud across the sky toward Ken’s home.  Lightning flashes.  Thunder booms.  The air feels so think you need a spoon to breathe.  The ominous clouds huddle close, leaning in close to discover whether Ken McArthur’s first book will make it to the publisher intime.

Tick, tock, tick, tock…the clock chimes hour after hour…Ken wanted to have his initial draft complete by Tuesday’s live coaching call with the Awakened team.  Are you leaning over our shoulders as we coach Ken McArthur live to write his money-making book complete with a well developed back end?  Now I’m not being fresh or naughty…that’s what the industry calls the business behind your book or lead product.  Branding expert Ben Mack takes it one step further and calls it a “sexy back end.”

You can look over our shoulders for 1 week for a buck, and once you realize the power of what we’re doing, you will stay in for only $27/month so that you can follow along step by step and write YOUR OWN book that is much more than just a book. Learn more here.

Normally, we would coach someone to use our New York Entrepreneurial Publisher and retain all rights to the material, but Ken has a traditional publisher who will include his book Impact in their May 2008 catalog.

December 15 he is supposed to deliver the complete manuscript to the publisher.  Will Ken McArthur make it?  We’ll be sure to ask him Tuesday at 9 PM EDT on our next live coaching call.  You can be there simply by logging into the Books Mean Credibility site.

I completed the Entrepreneurial Analysis of Ken’s book.  What does that mean?  I read the book for entrepreneurial soundness and gave him a score on the look and feel, readability and flow, writing basics, storytelling and entrepreneurial soundness and gave it to him, along with some comments in the manuscript.  We also had a half hour phone conversation.  This is what clients of Glenn Dietzel’s Awaken The Author Within mentoring programs receive as part of their package.

I created the Entrepreneurial Analysis of Your Book so that there would be a gold standard and a rubric to measure a book’s soundness.  I will go into entrepreneurial soundness more in a future post, but it means, does your book naturally lead someone to a natural next step with you?

I cannot divulge the details of the conversation Ken McArthur and I had, nor the results of his analysis, but I will say that the deadline looms near and he has a bit more work to do.  Just like an underdone cake, I stuck in the toothpick and it came out dirty.

Ken, my best advice to you as you move toward the Big Day is…

 Take a deep breath…rinse…repeat!

Ken will give us all the update Tuesday on our call.  Will you be there?
