Blurb/summary of book: If your career is stagnating and you need to give it some Zing or if you are just getting started in your career and want to get going on the right foot, then this book was written just for you!

 Do you set writing goals and write them down?

Not really, other than that I want to have a project finished in a certain amount of time. I am often too busy writing whatever I am working on—usually 3-4 different ideas at once.

 

Do you set goals for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life with specific action steps and deadlines?

I have intentions that I write about and speak about and am very action-oriented so I naturally work towards what I want. I also carefully design my environment so that it pulls me toward what I want more easily. Oh, and of course, my angels to-do list is getting longer every day! (I am finally learning to surrender over and allow the universe to help!)

 

What aspects of your own life are woven into your book?

This particular book was first self-published in 2000 as Get Smart! About Modern Career Development when I was making the transition from career counselor for the university setting to becoming a Life Coach and working for myself. I had attended graduate school to help people figure out their career path (something I struggled with myself) and then taught classes on how to make a career decision. And was able to use my book as the textbook in several classes. It was very gratifying to have immediate feedback about it helped people gain clarity and confidence.

 How do you spark your creativity?

My creativity sparks me. I am blessed in that I am downloaded with ideas almost every day, sometimes I have trouble keeping up with everything that is coming through me wanting to find a voice in the world. I guess my advice to anyone who is stuck is to get out of their box and out in nature, relax and open—that will spark what is already within you!

 How do you relax?

I spend time with my two doxies, Briosa and Bosko…see photo of us below.

Reading a great book is another one of my favorite ways to unwind (and gain insight and inspiration).

 

What do you enjoy doing with friends?

I spend a lot of time with my “goddess girlfriends” on the beach. I am also starting to play tennis after years of not picking up a racket. It is good fun, physical and social all at the same time.

 What quality do you most desire to develop in yourself as a person?

Patience. I would like to be at ease and flowing with the timing of the universe. I seem more ready for change and movement than the universe is.

 

What themes and/or issues predominate in your work?

Along my path, I have evolved from life mastery concepts of romantic relationships, career development, stress management and success strategies to what I call Soul Success (which still incorporates each of those aspects) and am now focusing on understanding the process of Human Transformation and evolution, which is the topic of my new book.

 

The working title is called The Trinity of Transformation: How to Make Smart Life Changes and Let Your Soul Be Your Guide.

 

What is better about your life now than it was 5 years ago?

I know myself more, and have more faith and trust in myself. Because I have overcome many challenges and changes, such as a divorce, moving, and several dangerous car accidents, I have awakened to the power and presence of Who

 

I Am.

I Am more ready to quantum leap to the next level of success and happiness. I believe it is true that God cannot give you what you want until you have the mind/consciousness for it.

 What was the most important lesson you learned about yourself as a person during the writing of your book?

I am still learning. And more importantly, remembering.

One thing I believe is taught in A Course in Miracles and that is the welfare of the world depends on our learning.

We are never through becoming who we were born to be, a Divine Human actualized. As The Soul Coach, this is what I help people to become, which is humbling and gratifying.

    Hi Teacher Mitchelle,
    I really appreciate your emails. you gave me an idea of what to write to my friends, actually. you taught me with your book how to find a job and it was effective. and you are very positive and made me think when I was at class. I went in 2003 for a while. now I am working at H and R Block and preaching the word of God. Did you know God will fix every problem that exists and soon happiness will reside in a perfect way. yes, I had to share that thought to you. hope you are doing will and thanks for your advice.keep writing more books. you are the best teacher ever!
