It’s such a pleasure to be able to introduce you to Christian teen author Thomas Wade Bounds and the first book in his new series, Choices, My Secrets.

Blurb/summary of book: Choices, My Secrets, tells the compelling story of Rachel, a teenager faced with confusing choices leading up to and during a summer romance that leaves her pregnant. Searching for hope, things spin out of control. Does a chance encounter help her think clearly? Does she find her true self and gain the faith, hope, and courage to consider the best choices to guide her through her incredible journey?

Do you set writing goals and write them down?

No I do not. I just sit down and write what comes to me.

Do you set goals for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life with specific action steps and deadlines?

No. I just write what I feel I need to say and I pray that it will help someone else and make a difference in a life.

What aspects of your own life are woven into your book?

Some of my thoughts, my beliefs, some of my life and experiences that I have come to know.

How do you spark your creativity?

I think about an important issue that may cause pain or even death to someone and then I create a story around it.

How do you relax?

Relax? I am not sure if I do relax, Writing does help. But I am the type of person that digs in and works until it is done. I like to see it all come together. I have lots of patience, sometimes I think too much; however being with my family and watching sports is how I relax.

What do you enjoy doing with friends?

Getting together and talking, eating, working out ideas, laughing and sharing good times together.

What quality do you most desire to develop in yourself as a person?

I try to develop honesty, integrity, trust, patience and learning as much wisdom as I can from my mistakes and lessons from the Bible.

What is better about your life now than it was 5 years ago?

My kids are growing up and learning, watching them achieve their goals, spending more time with my family then I did before and of course having God more involved in our lives.

What was the most important lesson you learned about yourself as a person during the writing of your book?

Well, knowing that I can do it. I always thought about writing one, but never thought I could until I just sat down and did it. I have written several and I’m still working on more.
