I Hijacked Walt Laurel’s List — AND Made Him MONEY!

Time for some good theater!
Yes, I admit it. I hijacked Walt Laurel’s list. He is a business success coach, and I went right into his sacred space and took over his list.
It was fun, I must admit, to slither into someone else’s autoresponder and write a message. The folks on his list had no idea what was coming. I slid into the list with stealth and grace.
Why did I do it?
Walt needed to call in a life-line and what I did was the most expedient and simple resolution. He couldn’t get to a computer to promote the call we did and he hadn’t loaded a message the day before, so I snuck in and mailed out to his WHOLE list.
I talked about Walt behind his back to his list, too. that was really fun! I said, “Walt is really insightful, isn’t he?” and then later I said,
“Walt is one of the people who taught me the power of SYSTEMS.
It’s funny, because he’s much more systematic and I’m a “pantser” (as in ’seat of the pants) a lot of times…
but weird of all weirdness, I created a system that is the backbone of my biz - The Storyation Process(TM).”
Yes, Walt Laurel uses the system I created to teach his coaching clients how to tell their story. WOW!
What an honor and a blessing to turn the lights on for people! I’m glad to be the one who makes good storytelling easy.
But back to hijacking Walt’s list. Well, you KNOW someone’s got your back when you’re in a jam and your marketing friend says, “Why don’t you give me your username and password so I can mail to your list for you,” and you TRUST HER not to download the CSV file or do something else rotten.
Yeah, that’s one little secret of the best people on the net…We build alliances. We’re not truly alone.
Millian Dollar Mike - Michael Morgan - gave me a special report about the conversion crisis, and one of the four “horsemen” of doom in the world of internet marketing that he pointed out is the isolation that most people experience.
You’re there at home, alone, trying to figure out who to believe…whose advice should you take?…Who are the true “good guys”?
Well, for one thing, you need a mentor and then you to do what your mentor tells you to do — but that’s another thread for another day.
But think about it…Don’t all the “big kids in the pool” have marketing buddies? You bet they do!
Folks like Tellman Knudson, Glenn Dietzel, Dr. Ben Mack, Ken McArthur, Andy Duncan - they all have a bunch of people they can call on in a pinch.
What about YOU?
Are you isolated, or are you forming community?
Do you have a mastermind group?
Are you doing ANYTHING at all that would get you noticed by the big names in your niche?
I have mentors.
I have a mastermind team.
I have community.
I have multiple streams of income- not as many as I want yet, but I’m getting better.
I am a life-line for a number of people who know they can call on me and my response will be, “When and where do you need me?”
Because I am building community, isolation is not a problem, and I can hijack someone’s list, make THEM money, - and make MYSELF money - and call it a good day’s work.
