This is some fun storytelling right here…about how a ghost got me to reveal my secrets to you…

As a child, I always hated the game of tag.  I have never been athletic and could never run fast.

But this game of tag is much different and much more fun.

A ghost made me do it.  He is up to his usual tricks, and now I am about to reveal to you 8 secrets about me that you do not know.  I’m sure some of you will spread wild rumors about me around the web, but such is life.

This is what happened.

Henri de Montmorency, “the ghostest with the mostest” has taken certain liberties with me recently.  You see, I am hosting him on this very blog early next month.  I must tell you that he is quite charming and entertaining, but one must keep in mind that he has a wild and cantankerous side as well.  Also an inflated - er…expanded–sense of pride and proportion.

I will be polling you next week to find out whether you believe ghosts can interact with the living world and to discover what questions you would like me to ask this engaging spectre, but for now, he has tagged me and I will share some secrets with you.

Perhaps this gives you a bit of insight into Henri; he chose all women to tag.  And to those others whom Henri tagged–don’t be surprised if he visits your house.  He also likes to haunt Victoria Secrets and hang out with — go read his own blog to find out.  It will entertain you.

Following are 8 little-known facts about me.  Shortly, I will share the rules and reveal the names of those people I am tagging.

8 Sizzling Secrets about Ronda Del Boccio, “The Story Lady”

1.  You may know that I write short stories, poems, articles, and books, and that I have a page on MySpace and  Author’s Den.  But what you may not know is that I am a ghostwriter.  I cannot say for whom unless you are seriously checking my references to engage my services.  But you probably don’t know that I have written for big name internet marketers.  Henri, I am not a ghost who writes, but someone who writes for others but does not always take credit.

2.  If you know me at all, you know that I love chocolate.  But this is something you probably do not know about my taste in this food of the gods.  White chocolate shouldn’t even be classified as part of the chocolate family.  It bears no resembleance in color, taste or texture to it’s more yummy companions.  My favorite chocolate is milk or semi-sweet, especially with caramel.  And let me tell you another related fact…

3.  If you did not already know, you might guess that I love chocolate (most people enjoy it).  But you probably do not know that I have a secret fudge recipe that I am going to reveal…it has a secret ingredient that makes it especially wonderful (no, not alcohol or any illegel substance).  Numerous people have tasted my fudge and exclaimed, “Oh my GOD!” while going nearly orgasmic.  Henri should especially appreciate this fact.

4.  I love stories.  This isn’t news to you, I know.  If you have read the Story journal that is part of the free Storyation gift package that you receive by signing up at Storyation, or if you have seen me speak, you may know that “let’s pretend” was my favorite game as a child, but you probably do not know that I constantly tested my improvisation skills by doing things like creating my own amusing newscasts and creating stories about things that would be fun if they had happened.

5.  If you have discovered the power of your story with The Storyation Process or my gifts at www.Storyation.com, you know that Joseph Campbell had a tremendous influence on me since I discoverd his work.  The PBS series The Power of Myth touched me deeply.  But you probably do not know that after Joseph Campbell opened my mind and heart to the power of myth and story, I went on to read many sacred books and stories from mythology and folklore all over the world.  This has helped me in my life become less judgmental and to realize that there is so much more we have in common than that which separates us.

6.  I am mostly blind.  This may or may not be news to you.  If you have met me, have heard Glenn Dietzel’s interview of me, or read I’ll Push, You Steer, you know  that I am extremely creative and adaptable, largely because I am too stubborn to let blindness stop me doing anything.  But you probably do not know that I write the Home Front column for Dialogue Magazine

7.  If you met me because of my work with Awaken The Author Within, you know that i am now an authoring coach and business development mentor as well as an author.  But you probably do not know that I used to work as a marketing director for an organization that teaches independent living skills to blind people.

8.  If you have seen my MySpace page, you know that there are a number of people on my list of “people I want to meet.”  but you probably do not know that my intention is that I will not have to directly seek these people out (to schedule an appointment, or example) because my intent is that they will seek me out.  I have so far met one person on my list this way.

Wow - I normally only allow myself 15 minutes for a blog post, so this one is unusually involved.  Very fun, though!

Now, for those whom I tag…

Nan C Loyd, Velda Brotherton, Linda Apple, Ken Jensen,, Howard Campbell, Pat o’Bryan, Wes Unruh, Leah and Beth – TAG!  You’re next!

Rules:

1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog. I hope you all have as much fun wiht this as I am having!
