Let me give you a couple of examples.

Joe Schroeder, author of The Alpha Code, for example (and all his other numerous works), is more credible and has more “clout” with people simply because he is an author. He creates fabulous tools tadn content for people in MLM or any business.

A number of my readers are published authors, and their people listen to what they say more because they have a book.

Think of the last time you watched a morning news program or a news magazine special and you heard the host say something like this: “After the break, does your child suffer from nightmares? We’ll be talking with ___, author of ___…”

Glenn Dietzel recently gave an excellent live demonstration of this phenomenon We were at the Internet Marketing Super Conference 9 in Las Vegas, and he pulled two people out of the audience. One was one of our clients, who has her book published. Her name is Anita Jackson, author of Rekindle the Magic in Your Relationship: Making Love Work. The other gentleman did not have a book.

Glenn said, “Whose opinion do you automatically want to trust more…Anita, who has a book, or Paul, who does not?” Everyone agreed that even without hearing her lovely British accent or her knowledge, Anita automatically had a higher status in their minds. Glenn’s next book, Author and Grow Rich, comes out in print soon.

But does your book HAVE to be in ink and paper? No. Even having an electronic book gives you more standing than being a non-author.
