[Top Affiliate Challenge] Canine Top Affiliate Challenge Contestant Audition Banned
June 11th, 2008 · Filed Under: Ronda is appearing... · Top Affiliate Challenge
Chad Van Norman has joked that maybe he would take on the role of the bad guy for the sake of entertainment on Thor Schrock’s Top Affiliate Challenge. Perhaps he has taken a literal step in that direction this week. You decide. But then, of course, he wrote the email but Thor Schrock made the decision.
Thor Schrock, the show producer, sanctioned her participation and even shot her first video at JV Alert Live in Orlando.
I guess my affiliate marketer and author guide dog Molly Flagtail must intimidate Chad, because he wrote Thor complaining that she was taking votes from legitimate contestants.
OK so let’s see…
Molly flagtail has a website. As a matter of fact, she gives a free gift and has a lead capture box in her site.
Molly Flagtail has a MySpace Page…
She has a blog…
She has a Facebook page…
She is selling affiliate products through her blog and her list… (Yes she has a ClickBank Account and a position in the health superfoods company Orovo.) I mean - she has to pay for her dog food and endless supply of treats and Greenies somehow, right?
Although the producers only gave Molly’s video a 1 (which somehow got raised to a 3, thankfully), Molly had a loyal band of voters. She even got “super votes,” which are $5 votes that give 3 contestants 25 perfect 10 scores each. Molly had over 40 of these gems. She and I made it into the local newspaper too.
and when her audition disappeared from the listings, I found out because of the flood of calls and emails that came to me.
Rochelle, “Her video was certainly better than that guy who made fun of everyone and ate out of the toilet. How disgusting! They shouldn’t have taken her video down.”
Jeanne, “Someone was intimidated by the DOG? Oh how pathetic!”
Jan, “I’d rather see the dog on the teams than most of the people.”
Molly Flagtail posted a reply on her blog. She finished with this: “So decide how high you want to vote the guy who voted a guide dog off of Top Affiliate Challenge and vote accordingly! And hey - be sure to vote Ronda Del Boccio, my human mom, a 10.I think she should get all my super votes, don’t you???“
OK yes it’s true that Molly needs some human assistance, but truly none of us does any internet or other business alone.
Cat said this, “I think everyone should write Thor at Top Affiliate Challenge and tell him to give all Molly’s super votes to Ronda.”
Thanks Cat. Nice sentiment.
Did my sweet guide dog intimidate Chad? Is he the bad guy of Top Affiliate Challenge?
Is Thor the bad guy for changing his mind and removing her audition?
Comment below!
And please vote me a 10 or even super vote me so I can go to Lincoln Nebraska. In my video I tell you how to register for a bunch of prizes I’m giving away.
Oh - latest word from my guide dog… Molly said she might boycot the show if I make it!

I think it’s terrible that Molly was disqualified after having been accepted as a contestant. Either she was accepted at the beginning or not!
I agree with Cat. All of Molly’s super votes should go to Ronda!
How could a viable candidate be intimidated by a dog? Can’t he find a marketable image for himself to compete fair and square? Makes you wonder…
Well, you have MY super votes, Ronda. You rock! (And so does Miss Molly.)

Ronda,
No I wasn’t intimidated by Molly.
I was just pionting out a way to buy yourself a position on the show.
If I bought a Super Vote for myself I could apply the other two, to the two Molly profiles. Therefore not benefiting any other contestant.
Besides, when I meet you on the show I will meet Molly at the same time anyway.
LOL Bad guy.
You can decide that for yourself
on the show I will see you there.

Top Affiliate Challenge Bans Canine Contestant? I was there when the video of Mollie was shot! I could have sworn that meant she was a contestant…
…and Chad, don’t you think it could have been handled a little differently?
1.) The competition was making money by people paying for super votes… I’m sure they can’t be too happy their money was wasted…
2.) Even if the dog did win don’t you think it would have been awesome publicity? And I’m sure they wouldn’t have REALLY eaten up a competition slot for a dog…
I’d be willing to bet if Ronda wouldn’t have made it to Nebraska and the dog did they wouldn’t knock a human out of the competition and fly Mollie the dog out by herself…
If I was Thor I would have considered your concern humorous and then responded with, “Are you going to replace the money that’s coming in from people buying super votes for a dog?”

I spoke to one of my dog friends this morning about the unfortunate and unfair turn of events in Molly’s life.
With a disgusted look on her face and with drooping ears — this from a basset hound — she loudly howled, “WOOF!” The ruff translation of this comment for those who don’t aren’t fluent in canine is “Fowl! Toss those dogs a bone for such a doggone bad call.”
Bring back Molly!
