Can you write a good book - not a piece of garbage book - in 12 hours? The controversy is alive and well. I’ll show you what some people are saying shortly.

To write a book - a thoughtful, substantial, well-written book - in 12 hours is absurd. Good writing takes time. Writing something with new ideas takes even more time. A real, experienced editor would do you a lot more good than a mentor in this case.

September 19th, 2007 at 6:35 pm I think you can get good writing in 12 hours of writing time. Not 12 hours of sitting at my computer. The things that pass for productive time in our workday really are not remotely anything like work, so I can see that the 12 hours of writing time is the operative phrase.(SNIP) I have faith in Glenn, and of course in your ability to cut through the clutter and and get it done - $10,000 price tag or not. I know if I paid $10,000 for something, I would sure as heck be working my behind off to make sure I got my money’s worthAnyway, I am sure that Glenn and his team are much more effective than I would be. September 20th, 2007 at 12:00 am I agree with Leon on this. An ebook about something like this will take a great deal longer than twelve hours. A decent children’s book MAY be able to be written in under 12 hours, but anything more complex than that, especially a book about an internet marketing related subjext, you can forget it! That’s why so many internet marketing ebooks are total garbage, because a lot of them probably were written in 12 hours.I don’t care how friendly I was with someone or how much faith I had in them, if they told me anything that riduculous, I would ask what they were smoking,
If you really are skeptical about this (why do I get the idea that this really is a marketing ploy, and not a legitimate concern?), then this is the proposal I would make to Glen. Ask him to let you try it first, and tell him if you do indeed make good money with it, than you will pay double what he is asking for it, and if not, then you pay nothing.
(snip) Consumers take risks all the time when they buy something. However, it’s the seller that is asking you for a monetary favor, so to speak, so make the seller take the risks every once in a while. They seller depends on the buyer a heck of a lot more than the buyer depends on the seller, and with a high ticket item, it isn’t unreasonable to ask the seller to provide some kind of proof that his or her product will do exactly what they claim it will.
Well, that’s my two cents worth.
