Appearing on The Tonight Show and Rachael Ray

What an amazing experience it was to be Rachael Ray’s guest on her new morning talk show! The tonight show was great too.
Mind you…these were 2 appearances I made in my dreams on 2 different nights this week. And I know they are going to happen because they were two of the most vivid dreams I have had.
Talk about dreaming your life forward!
So why would people like Rachael Ray and Jay Leno be talking to me? Well, my latest book is about the power of your story and connecting emotionally through the power of your story.
Since I enjoy cooking and baking, Rachel Ray had me making some of my specialties, fudge, which I know Ben Mack has enjoyed because I sent some to him, and also the cheddar biscuits that several folks have proclaimed to be better than the ones at Red Lobster. Rachael said I inspired her and she was glad I didn’t let anything stand in my way.
To give you a sense of how vivid my dream was, I had to remind Rachael to set the oven for me since I can’t read the controls. “Oh yeah, I forgot you’re mostly blind,” is what she said, laughing, to me. I could see (sort of anyway) and hear the audience members. I could feel myself making the biscuits with Rachel right there loading some onto a cookie sheet there next to me. Then when those were in the oven and I was making a pot of fudge on the stove top, I said I had never made it with that much distraction before, so this would be an interesting test. You see, fudge-making is a meditative act for me.
The audience cheered when the staff brought out samples of what we had made together, and when the batch I was making was cooling in the pan, Rachael announced that after the break we would be talking about the power of stories to change lives and make the world a better place.
Cool dream, huh?
My Tonight Show dream appearance was also a lot of fun, though of course, I didn’t make fudge. Unfortunately my interview with Jay was interrupted when my guide dog Molly woke me because she had to visit the little puppy’s room outside. I said, “Couldn’t it at least wait until the commercial break?” as I was waking up.
So I’m about due for another dream appearance. Will this one be on the Ellen Degeneres show? Or maybe the Oprah Winfrey show? I’m ready!
