If you don’t know it, you need a list in order to grow your reputation and your business.  You have to tbuild a relationship with y list and give them huge value so they realize that they can come to you with the problems for which YOU are the only possible expert to help them.   Check out this LINK if you need a list. I’ll say more about that another time.  I have a more pressing topic today, but it does relate to me being able to build a relationship with the peopel on my list.

When I found out how bad ThirdSphere’s email delivery was, I immediately looked for another solution.

Now, I’m a thorough researcher, and I am also glad to take the advice of a mentor who knows more than I do, but in this case, the advice didn’t work out well for me.  It wasn’t Glenn’s fault though.

I switched to 1 Automation Wizard.  Thus began a feat of wizardry worthy of Diagon Alley.

1aw would only take 1/3 of my list at a time.  Now, let me say that I am relatively new to this whole internet listbuilding and marketing game,  so we’re NOT talking a big list.

My poor web guy practically went postal, and I wrote to him, “I’m glad my wand doesn’t work well outside the fantasy section in this case.” (that’s a quote of Whoopie Goldberg’s character called Fantasy from The Pagemaster, in case you want to know).

After 3 weeks, they did not have messages sent to my whole “huge” (irony) list of 200 people, and and the support team…well they supported as well as a ten year old bra, which is to say…not at all.   And no, I don’t keep 10 year old bras.

One of my favorites was the support person who sugested that maybe the emails were bad and that’s why they didn’t go through.

<BUZZ> -Wrongo!  I didn’t even get my own confirmation request, and I KNOW my email works.

They gave me hassle on top of hassle, all in the name of, “Oh, we can’t have anyone putting in spam emails.”

Then my web guy Darrell suggested this other list.  Bless him for trying, but that wasn’t a great solution either.

So next I tried Aweber.  Best decision I made last week!

Last night I took all the CSV forms Darrell so kindly had made for me back in the TS days and entered them into the import area on Aweber.  A few minutes later I got a confirmation request (because I have enrolled on my own list).

Easy breezy! No hassles.  No stupid excuses.  No unhelpful support.  No dividing of the list.  So that’s why Aweber is in my Success Toolkit section!
